Who is Mentu, The Egyptian God?
Mentu was the Egyptian god of War. He has depicted as
a man was the hawk or falcon's head. He is wearing a headdress of
the uraeus or snake, solar disk, and double plumes.
He was worshiped as lord of the sky at was worshiped
at Hermonthis and Karnak. Mentu was worshiped as the sacred bull of
Ra in Memphis. In war,
Mentu was prayed to destory enemies with fiery spears.
