The Mabus Project
The complete, searchable book of Nostradamus
The Mabus Project is currently in the process of writing a book regarding Nostradamus. We are actively seeking authors to help with the process. The book is slated to be published in 2004. We understand that it is costly to have a book printed and even more costly to market it. Hence the Mabus Project book was born.
The book will have the complete work of Nostradamus and interpretations of his Quatrains. Some of the interpretations will be written by you, should you choose to participate in the book. We know that many of our users would like to get a book published however the costs associated with such are overbearing (assuming you find a publisher that would agree to even publish your book). The solution to this is quite simple. The Mabus Project will allow you space in their book to write an interpretation of a quatrain or several quatrains should you choose.
To help defray the costs of the book venture and marketing we ask the Mabus Project users that wish to have their names and their interpretations of the Nostradamus work pay a small fee to be included. As far as legality is concerned you would be buying a letter to the author in the book. The Mabus Project would retain sole ownership of the work published (even the text that you submit). This is the only way that it would work. Otherwise it would be a legal problem in terms of "copyright" law. The easiest way to understand this would be as if you wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and they published your letter in the paper. The newspaper technically owns the work that you sent in. However the newspaper always gives credit to the person that wrote the letter. This is how we envision this.
If you decide to take part of this, we would publish your work with a "written by: XXXX" the XXXX could also include your e-mail address or other contact info should you wish. You would also be included as a "co-author" in the credit section. Please understand the following, The Mabus Project has never done this before so you would basically be a work in progress.
